Tea cake

It is a light snack to have with your tea in the morning. This is especially made for tea lovers like I am.





INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 inch mold

  • 1 cup full milk

  • 2 teaspoon Tea leaves

  • 2/3 cup + 1 tablespoon Sugar

  • 1 & 1/4 cup Flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1/4 cup yoghurt (curd)

  • 1 teaspoon water

  • 1/4 teaspoon coffee

DIRECTIONS:


1. Take 1 cup milk, 2 tsp tea leaf, 1 tbsp sugar mix well and cook it on medium flame and bring it to boil. Lower the flame and simmer it for 5 mins then strain it and keep aside.

2. Mix 1 & 1/4 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/4 cup oil prepared milk tea and 1/4 cup curd in a bowl.

3. In other small bowl mix 1 tsp water, 1/4 tsp coffee and mix it into prepared mixture.

4. Put it into cake mould and bake it for 30- 45 mins in a preheated oven at 180 c.

5. Let it cool down
